Galaxy
Background
Galaxy (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4987906/) is a web-based computational workbench that provides thousands of researchers with scientific workflow, data integration, and data analysis for performing accessible, reproducible, and transparent massive biomedical datasets such as genomics, proteomics, and imaging sciences. The platform is currently used as a general bioinformatics workflow management system. Complex analysis tools and workflows can easily be done regardless of programming skills where users can do their own reformatting and manipulation of the graphical web interface. Galaxy ensures to record all analysis details and is completely reproducible.
Tool
A BioCompute compliant instance is implemented on Galaxy, researchers will be able to automatically create, store, search, and run BCOs for data-intensive analyses, allowing for re-analysis and knowledge dissemination. Galaxy API extension enables the export of Galaxy ‘workflow invocations’ (i.e. realizations of a computational pipeline) in BCO format. [1]
